Aure Chemical Delivers Reliable Vinylidene Chloride (CAS 75-35-4) at Consistent Quality

Vinylidene chloride (1,1-dichloroethene) is a volatile, colorless monomer with a mild chloroform-like odor. Commercial lots are normally supplied in a stabilized form because the uninhibited liquid can polymerize and form peroxides on contact with air, light or heat. Aure Chemical supplies Vinylidene chloride (CAS 75-35-4) for polymer and intermediate customers who need documented quality and Class 3 transport paperwork.

Key Applications of Vinylidene Chloride

  • Monomer for PVDC and VDC copolymers: The principal industrial use is copolymerization with vinyl chloride, acrylates or acrylonitrile to make processable vinylidene chloride polymers used as high-barrier resins.

  • Food-packaging barrier films and coatings: VDC copolymers are applied as films or water-based coatings on BOPP, PET and paper to reduce oxygen and moisture transmission in perishable-food packaging.

  • Chemical intermediate: The monomer is used as a building block in selected chlorinated-organic syntheses where a 1,1-dichloroethene unit is required.

  • Lacquer and coating resins: Soluble VDC copolymer grades are formulated into barrier lacquers that combine low gas permeability with heat-seal and solvent-resistance properties.

  • Specialty molded and extruded articles: Smaller volumes go into chemically resistant molded parts, filaments, tubing and multilayer sheet where a VDC-rich barrier layer is specified.

Aure Chemical: Your Reliable Partner for Vinylidene Chloride Supply

  • Stabilized-monomer consistency: Lots are supplied against defined assay and inhibitor expectations so polymerization customers receive a controlled, inhibited VDC rather than an aged, peroxide-prone material.

  • Low-boiling Class 3 logistics: Export is coordinated through channels experienced with UN 1303 packing, temperature control and the shipping constraints of an extremely flammable, volatile liquid.

  • SDS and polymerizable-substance documentation: SDS, COA and dangerous-goods papers are available, including the stabilization note required for this CLP Note D monomer.

  • Packaging and inhibitor discussion: Support is available on sealed containers, inhibitor type and shipment planning from research packs through industrial quantities.

Hazards Classification

GHS Classification: Flammable liquid (Category 1, GHS02); Acute toxicity, inhalation (Category 4, GHS07); Carcinogenicity (Category 2, GHS08). Company SDS may additionally list acute oral toxicity (Category 4), eye irritation (Category 2), STOT RE (Category 1/2) and aquatic chronic toxicity (Category 3).

Hazard Statements: H224 Extremely flammable liquid and vapor; H332 Harmful if inhaled; H351 Suspected of causing cancer. Some SDS also report H302, H319, H372 and H412. Uninhibited material can polymerize and form peroxides.
